I purchased a Border Collie puppy from Rising Sun Border Collies in  June of 2009 and I am extremely happy with
the results.  Our female pup, Bella, is not only a wonderful addition to our family, but she's also best friends with
my two young boys.  On top of being smart, easy to train, and a great farm dog, she is patient, tolerant, and interactive
with the  kids.  I would highly recommend Rising Sun Border Collies to any prospective buyer.
They were terrific to work with!

I just wanted to thank you for the great new puppy we picked up from you last month. It took Sammy a little bit to get
used to her name but she  is doing great with it now.  From day one she absolutely loved the  kids, all she did the whole
way back from your house when we picked  her up was lay on the kids lap.  Border Collies certainly have  personalities of
their own and Sammy is no exception, she gets a  little vocal when she is playing and loves to play fetch and just  follow
you around. Sammy has been a fast learner as I mentioned she  loves to play fetch now, as well as giving you a high 5 or
just shake  your hand.  But the thing I think she loves the most is just giving  you love, everyone who has met her totally
loves her and we are glad  we took the trip to come get her. The pictures below aren't that great  but show her spending the
evening with us as she lays in her bed in  the laundry room next to our kitchen and living room,  I will send  some of her
from down on the farm where she loves to have a 4-wheeler or tractor ride and loves to go get hay in the back of the
truck. Our  family loves her and we have been grateful for the basic training she  had before we got her, you guys went
the extra mile on that I can't  tell you how nice it is to sleep through the night with a new puppy  and wake up to no messes.

Thank you again for everything and I have let everyone know where I  picked this great puppy up from.  Also she still has
the beautiful one  blue eye, little more ticking to the nose, but that just adds more  character if you can call it that.

Thanks, Schaffer's.  (Santaquin Utah)

Hi April, I bet you thought we fell of the edge of the earth! I wanted to drop you a line and let you know how Gus is doing! He his
such a big boy now, he is close to 50 pounds and he completed the AKC S.T.A.R. puppy program in September and I was
going to start him on the AKC Canine good citizen program but I am opting to give him more time to grow up before I take
him through another class.

He is such a vocal dog, he actually "talks" to us with his assortment of barks, growls, grrs and other fun vocalizations. He
also loves using his paws to scoot his toys around. He is always thinking up new way to entertain himself if he feels like he
loves his racquetballs and he discovered in like a minute that if he stands at the top of the stairs he can send the ball down
the stairs and he runs and gets it and then starts the ball down the stairs again. Cam and I laugh and say he is so smart that
if he opposable thumbs he could rule the world! His favorite toy outside is a flat-bottom feed pan that he loves scooting over
the yard, grring all the way, he even talks to his toys to…funny boy. He never met a person he didn’t like and the little ones
are his kryptonite…he just loves kids. Even on TV when he hears a baby cry he runs up to the TV and tilts his head from side
to side…he also does this when ever you talk to him.

I need to send you pictures of the ol’ boy and let you see big boy Gus, I think he looks a lot like Jake, but I see some Sadie in
there too, It would be cool to get a picture of him with his parents.

I kept looking on KSL around the holidays for the new batch of puppies, but never saw any…did you guys sell them all that quickly?
I am trying to talk Cam into getting another pup, he keeps telling my Gus is enough most days, but he warming up
to the idea and I keep telling him that we don’t want Gus to be a totally spoiled only dog!

I wanted to let you know how much we love our puppy.  We named him Hank after the famous book series Hank The Cow
Dog.  When Brent brought him home from Price, UT early last month I thought I would be in for a lot of work keeping
this puppy out of trouble.  This has not been the case at least not so far.  He is such a sweet calm well behaved puppy and is growing fast.
Hal said he had the "Quarter Horse" body, he sure does!  Hank will shortly catch up in size to our 3 year old female Rosie.
The vet said he might get to be at least 45 lbs.  I attached a rare shot of Hank actually doing something naughty. Rosie
started the fun, what else could Hank do but join in.  Thanks for breeding such nice dogs and if you ever talk to Julie of
Sioux City, please thank her for referring us to you.

I am writing to say Thank you for allowing us to have one of the best dogs in our life.  Barney has been such a blessing. I did not
know how long it would take my husband after having his golden retriever for 14 years to get another dog and I always knew
he loved Border Collies. It was his valentine's day present three years after Molly died. We came to your house and he was the one..he is
now such a huge part of our lives and the first dog that has ever been allowed to sleep with us :)  We were so impressed with him that
we bought a full brother (Reilly)  from  the next litter for our children and grand children and he is working out beautifully....and, we are
waiting for the third litter of full siblings to come along so that we may get Barney a partner...hopefully a Chocolate girl named Bailey.
We will see what Patty has but she will have one with our name on it. Thank you for raising such a quality standard of dog that they
even get  along with 2 yr olds. Your dogs are so smart with the sweetest dispositions I could take them all. We look forward to spring
and another member of the family,

Susan Barta, Wiggins, Colorado

(Susan and Lloyd added a full sibling to Barney early in 2011, her name is Bailey)
